Innocence

Ahhhhhhh. The beauty of innocence. And the glory of no swaddle!

5 months!

We have just passed the 5 month mile marker! It seems like over the past month Anderson has grown out of his little baby stage - crazy! Now he seems like a little man ready to move and groove.

Let's do a quick rundown of 5 things Anderson loves:

1. Chewy the cat -- right now both Anderson and Chewy are very interested in each other. I'm sure that will change once Anderson gets a big handful of Chewy's hair. (yikes!)


2. the Exersaucer -- he loves to play and move from one station to the next. (hola Josh!)


3. outside -- Anderson loves the wind in his face. And you can practically see his mind thinking and growing as he takes in all the sights and sounds.


4. standing -- forget sitting and tummy-time, Anderson loves locking his chubb-o legs and pushing up to stand.


5. Mom and Dad -- nothing is better than seeing him light up when Tim or I enter the room!

Hey Ashley!!

Wanted to give a quick shout-out to Ashley -- we love our "Proud Momma" onsies!

And to Tyson -- looks like Tim is already teaching Anderson about the finer qualities of beer (Of course this is about 20 and 1/2 years too early!!).

Tastes Like Chicken

Anderson had his first taste of rice cereal this past week -- and he loved it! I was pretty shocked because I was expecting most of it to come right back out. Nope, right now our son is not picky about anything food related.......you give it, he takes it. Hopefully this lasts through peas, squash, carrots.....

Wow, we had quite the busy weekend! On Saturday we went and watched cousin Michele row in the K-state vs KU regatta -- and she won! Whoo hoo!

Then later that afternoon we hung out with Ali and Brett (happy birthday Ali!!) and had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Bateman and Grandma and Grandpa Pyle. Mom and Grandma thought it would be fun to have a photo shoot in this great big basket. Definitely cute, but Anderson was a little nervous because I think he thought it was a bath.



Sunday was full of Easter baskets and lots of family! What a spoiled little guy -- look at all his Easter basket fun! Grandma and Grandpa Pyle gave Anderson a way cute bunny hat -- how awesome!

Weekend Fun

Over the weekend we traveled down to Springfield to celebrate Brian's 30th birthday and had another chance to see Anderson's pal Davis. Brian was very surprised, and the Riedys, Mountses and Batemans all partied like we were 30...........a nice dinner and in bed before midnight. It was a great quick trip!

The Easter Bunny comes this weekend and so does Grandma and Grandpa Pyle! Whoo hoo! Should be a fun weekend of chocolate and family :)
