Keepin' it South of the Equator

So even though Baby Bateman is going to have some of the whitest skin ever, we continue to refer to he/she as a tropical fruit. Maybe we're somehow hoping this reference will deter Baby B from having to wear "Pasty is Pretty" t- shirts. :)

We are moving on to our newest fruit size -- papaya! Tim and I have walked tirelessly through the produce aisles at the local supermarket judging size and shape to pick just the right name.

Labor Day Fun!

I went to visit the McElroys this weekend and FINALLY got to meet Simon! Totally the cutest baby ever! Well, of course until November :)

(Don't worry, Debbie and I already discussed that I will be a little bias come November, and she's ok with that)

Simon got to meet either his new best friend or his future girlfriend....I think they hit it off pretty well! (moms are already meddling, geez!)

66.67% Bateman!

I've made it to the third trimester, Coconut is now 2/3 baked! I've been slacking on the belly pics, so here's a couple to get me caught up.

All aboard!

Tim and I took the train to St.Louis this past weekend for our "last trip." I mean, obviously after we have Coconut we won't be able to travel anywhere fun EVER. :) We took in a Cardinals game, checked out the arch and even stopped by the zoo. Totally loved the train -- slow boat, but fun!

Biggest Little City in Kansas

The whole fam headed to Halstead the first weekend in August to take in the sights and sounds of Old Settlers. Actually, it was more to whoop and holler at "the mayor" in the parade and cheer on the boys in the Great Race.

Thanks to Ashley, here are some fun pics from the weekend!

Pomp and Circumstance

Its official.......the graduation ceremony was held this past Sunday and Mango moved (swam, summersalted, whatever) across my belly signifying the transformation to Coconut. Ice cream and cake was served and an enjoyable time was had by all.

I think he/she's starting to look like Tim...................

Lake View Warriors

About a week ago Tim and I headed up to Lake View, IA for their annual Carnival. The Bruner family treks it on up (or down) every summer for a family get together. This year we were few but strong. A pretty good storm dampened the main float parade on the lake, but we enjoyed the Carnival just the same! :)
Here's the family at the Carnival eating "Maid-rites" (for those people not from Iowa, that's a Sloppy-Joe).

And one of Tim, Jane and I at the lake.
